    aa and a MISTAKE

we rented one of our lacabana units to a person that lives here near us.
she and her husband both in their 70s.

they booked our unit with a friday check in (yesterday)
they got to tampa international yesterday for an aa flight to mia and then on to aua.
    BUT, they messed up.
their flight was orlando to mia to aua.

aa accommodated them 100% at no additional charge.
aa put them on a tampa to miami flight and then on to aruba.

aa was helpful and awesome and corrected their return flight too, no additional charge.

these nice folks typically fly out of tampa and in the excitement and confusion of travel they went to tampa international instead of orlando international.

People are always quick to shout from the mountain tops when a company screws up. Thanks for posting about a company going above and beyond in helping someone even when the mistake was not their own. Goodwill wins all of the time.

AA did us right during a storm at home. Our flight got canceled and they automatically booked us another flight a day later.
Thanks for sharing another nice story concerning them.
    Ya done good again AA!

So nice to hear that an airline can still have a heart!

Since 1980, and throughout the many changes, we still love going downtown in Oranjestad.

Lovely to hear a large airline like AA do that.

Arubalisa is so right. We are quick to mention airlines' mistakes when they occur, so we should be equally forthcoming with compliments when they are deserved.

    Good on ya AA!!

That was great of AA to do that for those folks. They were fortunate that there were empty seats on the flight out of Tampa.
