Since 1980, and throughout the many changes, we still love going downtown in Oranjestad.

    Mornin' everyone

It will be interesting to see how, if at all, this impacts service to Aruba.

Miami is a major AA hub. I hope they keep the 2 flights per day. That late flight gives an option for those of us connecting from other cities. With us, it's usually been Winnipeg-Chicago-Miami-Aruba.

Never been on US Airway and I don't know much about them.

I hope they continue to fly out of Charlotte to Aruba. I am a creature of habit and really enjoy the airport in Charlotte. I did hear the prices may go up quite a bit I hope this is not true I may have to try another carrier if that happens. I have to be honest there was so much bad press regarding American last year it does kind of make me nervous with the merger and the issues they have had, hopefully no more loose seats etc.

I live in the Tulsa area. AA has a big maintenance facility here. It employs over 7500 workers. They seem happy with the merger according to local news channels. It looks like the name will stay American but the management team will be from U S Air. AA ceo Horton will be stepping down next year and U S Air ceo will be the man. Story here also said it would take a minimum of 2 years before any changes will be completed.

That is very interesting that it will take 2 years, guess it is a huge undertaking to say the least.

There was an article on the pittsburgh news the other day and although they r keeping the american name, the new logo is a little different...still red, white and blue, but the american logo we are used to seeing is not what will be on the planes....not sure if you go onto usair website if they have it showing yet....
