    Air fare from BOS

Just booked Jet Blue non stop BOS-AUA Nov.- Dec. 675.00 p.p. Lowest price so far this year. Hopefully it will go lower so I can bank any difference for next year.

I hope it goes lower for you too...... but if not.... you've already made the commitment to go! That's the best part!

That's great. Now you have a wonderful vacation to look forward to.

Just a suggestion: Watch the fares every day and make note of when the prices drop. I'd guess the lowest price will be around two months before departure. If so, you an consider waiting and booking at or near the low point next year and save some bucks.

Two months doesn't always work -- at the two month point for my upcoming trip the price was about 20% higher than when I purchased. You need to KNOW the prices and watch them every day and be ready to buy at a moments notice.

My point was that buying 6 months in advance may not be the best idea. I would expect the price to drop significantly between now and a November departure. The low point may not be exactly two months before but I'd bet it will drop more than once between now and departure. That's why I suggested checking daily.

I booked airfare for for two from BOS for $1354 about a month ago for me and my husband, since then they've been at $1900 for two and most recently $1632 for two. I'm waiting for it to come down so I can book for my sister and her husband, the waiting game continues..............

Our favorite place on the island, is the great beach at the Boca Grandi. The water is the best, and its very quiet.

Its risky to wait booking trips to Aruba. Right now we've been waiting for fairs to come down a little for our Oct. trip. Our trip this past March, i booked too early and the price eventually dropped almost one third (1/3). So, this trip we're taking a chance that the prices may drop somewhat. Its always a crapshoot with the airline industry these days. ( Well, maybe someday we'll hit the Powerball or the Mega Millions and we'll just take a private jet. Wishful thinking.)

We travel to Aruba the last week of January. Last year, tickets became available in June, I watched the prices drop from around $900 each to $727 each in October. My wife got nervous so I bought in October. After that, I got several credits along the way until Thanksgiving day when the price dropped to $505 each. That was the best price, two months before travel. This year, I have to book no later than 11/1/13 to take advantage of all my credits.

IMO, that price is a steal. From where I live, prices have doubled and the travel time has tripled, with 2 or more stops which was a few years back only 1 stop. I have not been back to Aruba because of this hassle.
