Sweet! Just checked the dates and Carnival is within AirTran's "special introductory fares" dates! I may have to make an extra trip next year.

This bodes well for Aruba keeping service after the merger. I think they would need to add at least one or two more of the major Southwest stations to bring it up to their usual minimum service level.

Right now, Delta has ONE WAY tickets through Sept. for $833. out of Atlanta!! Is that not crazy. Normally they are around $170. What is the reason for that?

I looked and it appears they are not selling any discounted one way fares. Though I did find one for $162.30 on Sunday the 4th.

It also looks like many of the flights are pretty booked up. Also keep in mind, Delta discontinued their Tuesday flight, so all those passengers are now flying the other 6 days of the week.

Good to know about the Tues. flight. We need a direct flight for the dogs.

We love Aruba, have been there a number of times. However, after watching fares and searching for low fares anytime in 2012, we found a cheaper fare to Hawaii. So 2012 will be spent in Hawaii. The airlines are taking advantage of all of us Aruba lovers.
