Pulled the Trigger. Saturday Dec 20 to Sunday Jan 4, - 16 Days, Four of us: DW, DD, DS, and Me!

EWR to AUA, $885 First Class with American Airlines, this includes 3 Free Bags pp, we will not need 12 bags, lol. Last night I was going to book from PHL to AUA at $835 PP (Coach and bags were not free), went to bed woke up the flight was there, then I got some coffee, sat down to book and BAM, it was gonna. Flight was with US Air, snooze you lose. LOL

I am sure the price will drop either soon, or around summer. I could not chance it going up and getting out of hand, or being forced to book some crap times. We will land in Aruba at 12:40 PM, Nice. Then we leave at 5:40 pm. That gives us beach time on both arrival and departure days. Even if flights fall when Southwest/Air Tran come out, I accept it. Plus we have never flown first class and we love the flight times.

We may actually bring more bags than normal. My 12 yr old does not believe in Santa, but my 7 year old does.

Last year I just could not get a good flight, I looked on and off and missed out. Oh Ya my daughter will be 12 on Jan 3 (B-day in Aruba and not the cold)!

    So excited!!!

PS. Same Flight is now over $1700 PP

You will love first class and the fares won't go down. Supply and demand and there are now 4 less seats in first class which you will love. Read Confessions of an Airline Revenue Manager.

You got a great price. Last I looked nonstop Newark on United, the 19th to the 2nd was $1700. It has never been less than $1300. For weekend flights I would think it was much more.

    Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Lisa, I read that article the day before I booked. I did leave out that I have a layover in NC for about 50 minutes, dont think we change planes. Either way I have to think its a good deal so I dont kick myself, lol.

    Hi Everyone-
    Great Job booking your flights!
I finally pulled the trigger too, 12/25-1/2/15. Wow the plane going down is quite full already. I booked one way fares on United from EWR- $335 going down and used points for the way back.
Michael L- I did the same as you, found a great flight for $501 out of EWR on American and by the time I went back to book it was gone...Oh Well!
Hope to see you all down there!
