Wow I continue to track flights for November Thanks Giving week and wild swings in prices. $1,245 round trip sat to sat JFK to Aua on Jet blue. Today $845 round trip. Tomorrow probably back to the 1100 to 1200 and then a few days later back down. I think i would feel bad if I booked at 1245 and the next day it was $845.00. Next week my window of flex time share trading opens up for thanks giving. So far the options are a studio at la cabana, a 1 bedroom at Rennasance and a 2 bedroom at La Quinta, 2 bedroom at Carribean Palm Village. Some are Friday check in, some Sat and some Sun. There was a Thursday one at la cabana which I wish was still available because airfare thur to thur is $540 round trip. We will see...

We ended up at $663 pp direct, plus $81 pp for extra room from Boston. It's higher than what we've paid for Thanksgiving week in the past but after months of checking I just said the heck with it.

does JB still have the "refund policy?"
it is my understanding that once you purchase your air, if the price drops lower during the next 10 days, the customer is entitled to a refund applied to future flights.

    is this still in place?

JB's policy is more complicated than it used to be. In the past you just called and received a credit in your travel bank. Now, you have to pay a ticket change and only have 2 weeks (I think) after date of purchase.

i did not realize there was a ticket change fee within that 2 week period. so, all of the things we all loved about JB in years past..pretty much they are like the other airlines now?

I'm vacationing in Puerto Rico this week but continued to review air fare to Aruba everday. This morning I saw mint on a return flight for 485 on jet blue. It usually sells for 1385 and since I missed it twice, I booked it! Got error messages twice but third time was charm. I purchased 2 round trip NY to Aruba for $2005. This includes 2 extra leg room going, mint returning and trip insurance with medivac for 2. I priced it again 2 hours later and I t came out to 3985. I'm happy! Now I have to get my timeshare exchange..
