Unless they are "refundable" tickets, for most airlines, no. I believe right now only Jet Blue or the ones offering vouchers for differences in fare.
I know with Delta when our fare went down for our flights over Christmas we had to pay the change fee and then take the difference in vouchers. It was a significant price drop so the money we had to spend was well worth it.
