LaLinda Dept. Store downtown has a good selection of bathing suits
Another department store is over in Noord just around the corner a bit from Caribbean Palm village.
The resort shops all have bathing suits too and some are actually fairly priced.

Most resorts have shops with swim suits and coverups for sale. Also some shops in downtown Oranjestad. I try to put one in my carryon! My eyeglasses/sunglasses (bring spares of both with me) are 2 things along with a bathing suit that I cannot live without in Aruba.

There are many stores and gift shops that sell clothing. The city of Oranjestad has just about everything. There are also stores in most hotels and let us not forget the straw markets near the cruise ships and by the grocery stores on the weekends. Red Sail has a lot of beach wear on sale as well.

Enjoy!

Thank you for your kind words. More info on packing--
  1. Make sure to pack an extra set of underwear, bathing suit & other necessities (unfortunately does not apply to liquids any longer unless they are within the TSA rules) in your carry on. Your checked luggage always has a chance of being lost.
  2. When you step off the plane in Aruba it will be hot, hot, hot! Dress in layers. You will be glad you did while riding from the airport to your resort.
  3. No elegant hairdos (too much wind), no hosiery (too hot), or no makeup (in my case live it up!) in Aruba!
  4. Make a photocopy of your passport's data page and keep separately from the passport itself
  5. Some suggest also photocopying credit cards in order to have the companies and numbers should they be lost or stolen, but if you loose that info, could create a larger problem...

A few years ago when someone broke my jeep window and stole my wallet, I told my wife what am I going to do at the airport. This is when I only had a birth certificate. Here my resort took a photo copy of my license when I checked in. That is all I needed to get home.

in regards to your passport make two copies..bring one with you and keep it separate from the real deal and also leave one copy at home with a loved one in case you lose both the real one and copy in aruba..your loved one can fax the copy to you and you will be able to leave aruba without to much of a hassle..
