I just priced out a flight for next June West Palm Beach to Aruba on Delta and the price was $20 LESS than tickets purchased 6 weeks out this past July for the same itinerary. Atlanta to Aruba was the same price.

The article unfortunately did not state whether they studied international and domestic fares or just one or the other.

I have found that most if not all articles regarding "best time to purchase" in regards to time and day of the week, only apply to domestic fares. http://www.farecompare.com/travel-ad...avel-insiders/
