We will be picking up a friend at Queen Beatrix airport and will be parking our car rental in the parking lot there. Can someone tell us where you go in the terminal to get the ticket to exit the parking lot? I also heard there is a limited amount of time you have to exit the lot after you get the ticket. Thanks for any help you can provide.

just a hint of a few issues...sometimes the machine runs out of tickets....good luck...we parked in the lot and had to go on the search for the place to pay...its inside the local arrival area at a kiosk...

there is a ticket machine (to pay) across from the digicel desk in the area right b4 you exit the building.

1. when u enter the parking lot you will take a ticket

2. when u get inside the area where you pay (insert the ticket into the machine) the machine will tell u how much money (florins) put in.

3. put that money in and a "paid in full ticket " comes out.

you then have about a 15 minute window of opportunity to get back to the car.......drive out to the exit, insert your paid in full ticket into the machine.......and leave.

There is a 2nd machine on the other side of the arrival hall from Digicel.

DO NOT pay for parking until the person you are picking up is with you.
One year the person I was picking up was delayed getting luggage and was late coming out. I paid on my ticket ahead of time and when I tried to exit the parking lot the machine would not open the gate. Had to go back and add more $$ on ticket.

And you don't get a second longer.

If you have a rental car from the airport, they sometimes let you park in the rental section or just outside /behind the rental kiosks when you are just picking someone up. However, parking is only 3 florins for an hour I think.
