I am tarveling to Aruba to compete in the CAC's in September. I can not find any information on the importation of food. We are staying at The Westin so will not have kitchens and are on VERY strict diets (part of the sport)... if chicken is already cooked can it be imported in accompanied baggage?

yes you can bring in chicken cooked, raw ........as long as it is not clucking it is fine.
yrs ago, folks were not allowed to bring in fresh produce.
ex: i had brought lemons and had them confiscated.

now, pretty much whatever fits in your luggage you can bring.

yes, this past trip we brought 4 lemons and some very green bananas.
i never have found good bananas at lings...........they are either VERY ripe or VERY brown.
everyone gets the good ones before me ;-)

How far is the nearest grocery store from The Westin?

there is a grocery store , a new one on palm beach road about a mile and a half from the westin.

there are some other grocery stores closer to the downtown about 2 or 3 miles from the westin........Lings, Certified and Super Food.

we prefer Lings and Super Food.
the new grocery store on palm beach road was poorly stocked.
