    Aruba's Airport Lines and Congestion

Since it is a particularly busy travel time (Easter), how has the congestion and wait times been at the airport ?

We landed on 3/8 and it was virtually wide open. We left on 3/23. It took us an hour and a half to from the first checkpoint to our gate. US Customs was the worst. We must have spent 45-50 minutes in line there. They had two agents checking in the general line, which was out to the door. After 30 minutes or so they added three more and it moved pretty quickly after that.

Schexc - do they have the Happy Flow implemented in the US departures terminal for when you're leaving Aruba? They ve put them in for the non-USA departures terminal.

The Happy Flow line for Global Entry participants, is open and works well in the US departure terminal in Aruba. I saved about 45 minutes by using that line.

Global Entry was open and had no line. There was an agent in a booth there and he really had no traffic to contend with. I didn't see any Happy Flow for general entry, just the passport verification scanner, which really didn't seem to speed things up very much, as many people were fumbling with it, trying to figure out how to use it. By that point I think we had showed our passports at least two or more previous times.

We went to the island on the 19th and the happy flow line was anything but. Not sure I would use it again if I don't have too.
    Next Aruba trip in

Landed on Friday the 25th at 2:30, we were in first class so off the plane right away. Zero wait. Our friends that had to wait for a stroller, also had no lines once they hit customs. We shall see what the trip home brings!
