Average R/T Cost?

I know the cost will vary depending on where you're departing from, but I just curious what everyone is paying for one adult R/T ticket?

Im flying out of Denver w/ one stop, and haven't found anything less than $558, but for a R/T flight I thought that was a pretty good deal.

I was going to purchase my ticket on Thursday of this week, that is unless you know something I don't??

That is a REALLY wide open question dependent upon many many factors-- supply and demand, days advance purchase, competing airlines, originating airport, time of year...

From Atlanta, non-stop on Delta, over the years, we have paid anywhere between $1190 and $425.

What did you pay for your flight?

Hard to say - there are too many factors to really give a flat average.

Where your flying from and the time of year are the biggest factors.

I have paid from $359 - $908 (not including taxes) flying out of Newark and Philly.

My husband and I typically fly out of Chicago, but this year we are flying out of Milwaukee since it is only a mile away from our home. In years past the fare was usually $200+ per person flying out of Milwaukee with a stop in Atlanta. THIS year however, it was only $20 more so I booked it immediately back in February. We always go in September so we book our entire trip in February.
We are flying US Air this year and it cost $469 per person once all the fees were charged. We also opted for the insurance which was only $68 for both and it offers medical reimbursement just in case. All in all plane fare was up from last year about $200 total.
Oh yeah lets not forget about the charge we will have for our 2 checked bags.

too many variables
non stop?
day of week?
airport?
season (christmas, carnival, low, summer?)

we have paid as little as $220 r/t including tax from Boston
we also have paid over $600 r/t including tax from Boston

we have found that in MANY years of travel to Aruba the airfares have remained somewhat level. (except for the extra fees associated with sept 11 , baggage and fuel)

your denver ticket price is a good deal.

I heard a news report on tv that the best day to purchase tickets is after noon eastern standard time as that is when all the rate changes are made......maybe you can wait until next week and see what happens.

We fly from Minneapolis and always have one stop in either Chicago (United), Charlotte (USAir), or Atlanta (Delta.)

Been traveling to Aruba since '96 and have paid as little as $230 RT (taxes included) and as much as $550 (taxes included.) In general, I would say we pay, on average, between $460-$500 for most of our flights to Aruba. We also always travel off-season (usually late April and late Sept.)

Actually, the price went down to $556 just this past Friday for NYE...but I was stupid and didn't book it because I was waiting for my hubby to okay the dates. Now it's at $590 but only if we fly in on Dec. 30th. We'd rather fly in on the 29th which is at $656. So I'm going to watch and wait again and next time when it drops I'm just going to book it and hubby will learn to live with the dates I picked. LOL!!
