Boston - Aruba with a layover in Columbia? Now that's a special route.

Avianca is a Colombian airline. Not always so reliable. I remember being stranded 6 hours at Caracas Airport in Venezuela.

Thankfully your friends will be connecting through Bogota and not Caracas; also be thankful that they did not book with Insel Air. Too bad they did not try Copa Airlines, they would have has to connect through Panama, and from what I have heard from friends who have flown with them (Copa) they are on time and the service is great. Will the return trip be with Avianca or will they be returning with another airline?? Fingers, toes, eyes, teeth and tongue crossed for a smooth trip.
