Planning on bringing four 6 packs back home...I will put them all in one checked bag and place them in the large zip-loc bags...

Any other advice from those who have been successful as to what to use for added padding/protection and/or if the soft sided luggage is ok to use??

Welcome to the forum.

The Ziplocs are an excellent place to start. It has saved us from suntan lotion disasters on more than one occasion.

We bring home cans of Balashi and bottles of Amstel Bright. Fortunately we also have hard sided luggage. We purchase the beer at the grocery store to be able to pack it a bit more carefully than just throwing it in at the airport.

They get wrapped one by one, in a piece of clothing and waded up further in the center of everything inside the suitcases. We are also fortunate to travel with at least two suitcases, sometimes three.

lisa forgot to say that once she gets home..........those beers get hidden in the back of the fridge and on special occasions they are opened and consumed.

we do the same, cept stroopwaffels are our "oral celebration"

SPECIAL times call for Balashi or Brights!

Just remember that the limit for alcohol is 2 liters per person
