Beer Question

We have some friends joining us for the second part of our trip this year (it's their first visit) and they have a "beer question."

They would like to check a 30 pack of beer along with their checked luggage. Does anyone know if this is possible? I read somewhere you could only check 14 beers but I don’t know what’s accurate and what’s not. They are flying AA if that matters.

Yes, I have suggested that they try Balashi and also suggested that they just save a little extra and just buy it in Aruba.

Thanks everyone!

Thumbs up

As above states may cost them more in taxes/fines for being over the limit.
Tell them to go to a market like Ling and Sons. They have a fine selection of beer and wine and prices are good.

My math isn't the greatest but I think 3 liters of beer equals 8 12 oz cans.
I don't think they will be doing that! Thank you, AGAIN!

if the beer is inside the luggage you will likely be paying for a heavy bag. If it is checked on its own, you will be paying for the additional "bag". Either way, it is cheaper to buy a case of Balashi or something else once you arrive in Aruba. And that's before paying any import duties.

Ah, definitely won't be bringing a case of 30 then!

thank you everyone! I will suggest to them to just buy it there. Plus, with these guys a 30 pack would only last a day anyhow!

I think that you are correct. This would be per person.
