This is why we personally chose to stay at an all-inclusive. The bar bills can add up big time and I hear Aruba isn't cheap. ![]() But I do like your attitude when you say..."the hell with it I'm on vacation". That's the way I am too. |

That's exactly how I feel...the hell with it....If I'm going on vacation I tend to splurge and I don't hold back. Once my friends get there, I think they will understand. There is nothing better than an ice cold Amstel Brite...unless of course you like Balashi.
Evern though it adds up, I don't think I could do all inclusive in Aruba...the restaurants are way too good to pass up! |

Gretch.....You never actually said what kind of beer they drink, but if it is like Bud, Sam Adams...somethink with a little kick, they will love Balashi...plus that is considered a domestic beer there and it is cheaper than our beers....all of which are more money. Heineken and Amstel are considered domestic also and thus are cheaper also...
Bill, I noticed you mentioned you had your vodka taken from you....was that after 9/11 ??? We used to bring our vodka and rum with us because of the price but now just suck it up and buy it in Aruba...it is still much cheaper to make drinks in your room and take them to the beach than to buy drinks at the pool bars....plus I don't have to worry about "spillage" in my suitcase.... |

Bill, I noticed you mentioned you had your vodka taken from you....was that after 9/11 ??? Actually before 9/11. The woman that confiscated it was a miserable person, the security guard next to us let people bring a couple gallons of home made wine. Go figure. |

>>> "Boston. We were on our way."
---- All airports are really checking your carryon now. I had a can of coffee in mine this June and they opened my bag to see what it was. Coffee is OK. Just wanted to see what it was. One time I had one of those small 1 inch blade sizzors to cut the hair out of my nose and they took that. So watch what you take in carryon. Last edited by TomFrederick; 08-05-2009 at 09:20 AM. |
