There are at least five other US based airlines that fly to Aruba every day and don't require an overnight stay in Miami. Also, where in NY are you flying from?
Just looked at Feb 12-19 and it is $433 +taxes from JFK to AUA non stop both ways. There are also a couple options through Miami that take up varying amounts of time and save a few bucks without an overnight stay.
continental flies out of newark non-stop. depending where you are in ny, it might not be that difficult to get to nj. i live in nj and most of my friends who live in ny fly out of newark.
I randomly checked a Sat to sat in mid-march on Continental fro Newark and the direct flight costs under $500 + taxes R/T. It's worth the cab ride to Newark if flights from JFK are so expensive...and no way should you have a 12 hour layover in Miami.
Arashi Beach, Hyatt, Radisson, Shopping, Flea Market, Downtown, Palm Beach, Everything
i agree. even if the flight is the same price as new york but in newark you fly direct, i would think your time is worth the cost of a taxi ride or mass transportation to newark. 12 hours is a long long long lay over.
I still for the life of me can not figure out why people still try and fly American Airlines to Aruba. I have read more complaints and bad reviews of terrible service and yet there are always people making resevations and them complaining about them I have been using Jet Blue for years now and now Stanley flies with me and we never have a problem. Everyone associated with Jet Blue has always been very pleasant and helpful and we never have had any problems or delays. . . . May cost a little more, but the pleasure of no headaches is worth it. . . . . And they do have non-stops out of Boston and New York. .
