AMEN to that.

Take a trans Atlantic cruise and at least avoid one leg of flying?
Then the trick is to find out if it is easier to fly east- west or west-east.
Then again, there is always the Cunard regular summer TA service.
Not sure which ship right now, the Queen Mary 2 was a nice home for 15 nights.
Now back to scanners.

"...if you do not like the new regulations then simply do not fly, it surely makes cruising look VERY very attractive for travelers."

However, the drive to Aruba might get a little moist for some.
Oh, I'm sorry, it just dawned on me, cruising by ship.

Bear with me, it's been a long day... and we (the Lady and I) really need a vacation...

AIRPORT SECURITY
With the advent of "naked" full-body scanners or personal pat-downs, national security vs personal privacy, has become a big national issue.

The Israelis are developing an airport security device that eliminates the privacy concerns that come with the full-body scanners at the airports.

It's a booth you can step into that will not X-ray you but will detonate any explosive device you may have on you.
They see this as a win-win for everyone, with no racial profiling or invasion of privacy issues.
Justice would be swift, non-biased and non-judgmental and it would eliminate long and expensive trials.

Another advantage: You're in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion. Shortly thereafter, this announcement comes over the PA system:
"Attention standby passengers: a seat is now available on flight #___."

Case closed.
