Boston To Aruba
I am looking for flights to aruba from Boston may 1st to the 14th. So far I see the cheapest being around 300/person round trip. Has anyone gotten tickets for cheaper than that and if so how did you do it? I haven't tried priceline or any bidding sites. the 300 round trip is from the local outlets with 1 stop.
Thanks! Family-Trip |

We're in Aruba now (Jan 31- Feb 14)..........leaving today.
My husband made our reservation thru AA..........he kept trying until he got the lowest rate, which was $250 pp. We tried to upgrade to business class on the flight down (using our miles) but were told we would have to have a rate of $300 to do so. Still, we were on standby and we were still on standby for our flight home today. Finally got notification yesterday that we've been upgraded to business class for the flight home. So, just keep trying until you get the price you like. Amazing how it keeps changing. |

![]() Seriously, I've found that the best deals are often leaving/returning Tue-Thu, and obviously supply/demand keeps the prices higher during peak season. If you own or rent timeshare you may be stuck flying during the more expensive periods, but if your accommodations and work schedule permit see if you can't alter your vacation plans to fall during a more favorable time. |

I booked Boston to Aruba with AA in July of last year and paid $478 per person. I keep seeing great deals on AA or JetBlue for the summer months out of JFK. Anytime I try to get an estimate of how much it'll cost during the latter spring or summer months, I see that there are no direct flights during those times out of Boston.

When we booked this year, we booked from Thursday to Thursday with American Airlines and I found that the rates were much better. We paid a total of $893.60 for 2 of us (including taxes) and our flight there is direct. The Aruba airport tends to get very busy on the weekends, so I am hoping that it will be easier going in and out on a Thursday.

One thing that I have learned is not to book right away. I have a timeshare so I always have to travel sat-sat. I watched on Americans website for about two months as the ticket prices fluxuated until one day I found the best deal. I got 2 nonstop tickets sat-sat in January for two people 769.88 total! That showed me my patients paid off keep watching!
