>>> "are the clear bags just for liquids put in the carry on bags?"
---- Correct! Actually I think its only one quart size clear bag per person and you don't put it in the carry-on but place the bag in the same box with your shoes, keys, watch, ......
That Web Site above gives all the details.
In your carry-on bag:
Make Your Trip Better Using 3-1-1 All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag.
According to my husband, the Aruba is probably the best water in the world. He's a water/envir. engineer, who specializes in that stuff. It absolutely killed him to watch me buy bottled water while we were there. Sorry honey...cindy
I think 5 pm is probably a lot more fun..........the bottled water thing really and truely drives rob nutso. He does it at home to when the girls take a bottle of water to school...oh well, if thats the least of his worries he's a lucky man.
The water in Aruba is the best that we've ever had. It has spoiled me. As everybody has said, take the golf cart to the end of the Tam and you can walk to Hong King market. We usually walk back to our room with our groceries as we only have munchie type food. I have put munchies in our carry on in the quart sized bags with no problems. Also have put the same food in my luggage.
