    Bulkhead Seats Question

If anyone usually gets or have had in the past bulkhead seating, is it possible to put your purse or small bag underneath your seat or does the person in back of you take it? If you cannot put your bag underneath is there usually a spot above you? I just switched my seats for the extra room and now thinking I may regret it? Hopefully the extra room will be worth it. Thanks in advance.

You'll probably board early enough to get plenty of room in the overhead. (I'm assuming Jetblue) The under seat space is usually for the person behind you. You'll enjoy the extra space and the early on/off for boarding. Good move! BTW.... if I were behind you, I'd share my carry on space with your bag!

there is usually a spot above and as CP says, your underseat space is for the person sitting behind you.
often we sit in bulkhead, and i put my purse up in the overhead, but as soon as the seatbelt light goes off, i bring it down.
i do not want to doze off (as i usually do) with my purse and up there where it could be stolen.

We've had the bulkhead seats and there has always been room enough in the overhead. I prefer to have a seat where I can put it under the seat in front of me though.

Thanks CP, I wish you were in back of us so we could share some Brights when we arrive Thanks also to Peg and Andrea, I agree I will just bring my purse down when it is ok to. In the long run I believe the extra room will be worth it, especially for "yours truly" who always ends up squished in the middle seat with the person in front of me reclining their seat back I wish it were JetBlue but not an option out of Hartford, flying American.

I don't know what planes American flies but on the United flights out of Newark if you have bulkhead seats A,B or C the overhead bin is only half available for the row. The other half is for the flight attendants first aid? seat belt? and life vest demos since the one newer plane I was on did not have screens in the seats only WiFi so they had to go through the motions just like in the old days. Seats D,E and F had full bin space.

We are in 4 E and F, 3 out of 4 flights, the first flight is B and C. I won't worry too much as I'm checking all my bags with the exception of my purse and small carry-on. I also like being in the front of the plane for easy off, once I land I want to be one of the first down the escalator, sometimes it is hard with my short little legs trying to keep up with my husband's long legs (lol)

We were in the first row for our flight down and back this trip. It was a pain. We boarded late because we were in the wrong line (gate change) and the idiot across from us had taken up the entire overhead above our seats with his questionably-sized carry on and personal item while his wife took up the overhead above their seats. It was a mad scramble to shift everything around to get our stuff in as we didn't have under-the-seat in front of us. The obtuse guy was sweating it because his bags were going to be punted into cargo. He should have checked in those wheelies.

Inconsiderate travelers should be drawn and quartered....... if that's still an available punishment....!
