Carry On

Can anyone tell me if you can pack block cheese in your carry on, what about lunch meat. Were trying to cut costs but our airline only allows one bag pp and we need that for all our other stuff.

thanks
Kathy

US Customs won't allow meat when you return from Aruba but I don't know about entering Aruba.

I hear about folks bringing all kinds of foods into Aruba from home to save money. I have not heard of any foods ever being confiscated.

We've checked a cooler through as baggage with no problems. Never tried taking it on a carry-on -- you might want to check on that!

The TSA has a new feature on their website http://www.tsa.gov/

Can I bring...

through the security checkpoint?

Frame 1. I entered the search term "FROZEN"

Frame 2. and the database returned a group of choices from which to select.

Frame 3. Once you make the selection, you will have the details.

That's great. Thanks for the link, Lisa.

I tested it with my AOL (yes, I still use AOL ), and I just got an empty tab when I keyed in an item to search. I then tried it on IE, and it worked just fine. I don't know if it's just my AOL, or if there's an universal AOL glitch.

It sure can be, Andrea. My family makes fun of me for still using AOL, but I'm an old dog when it comes to computer change.

I was glad to see that I could use the new TSA search just fine with IE. That's such an improvement from trying to slosh my way through the list of approved and unapproved items.
