We are flying Boston to Aruba via JFK in October on JetBlue. Our flight from Boston is 6:05am landing at JFK at 7:15am. Our flight to Aruba is at 8:10am. Having never been to JFK and only once in my life have I ever had to make a connecting flight, can anyone give me advice on JFK’s terminal? What I mean is when we get off the plane, are all the JetBlue gates right there or do I have to travel far to find it? I really hate to fly and usually I fly non-stop but we are leaving on a Wednesday this year and there was no non-stop available. I’ll also have my 2 children with me so I’d like to know exactly what to do when we get off the plane.
One more question….let’s say our flight from Boston is delayed….God forbid….and we miss our connecting flight in NY. Will JetBlue automatically put us on the next flight to Aruba (11:10am)? Fortunately, we are taking a non-stop on AA home. Thanks for your help!!

We took this exact flight in April. There were no problems and the gates were close together. No need to worry as long as you flight leaves Boston on time.

Hi Gretch,
![]() The brand new JFK JetBlue terminal is awesome. Every gates are in the same building. I never miss a connection with JetBlue so I cannot say if they will automatically put you on the next flight. But if you consider that you cannot put all the passengers of a flight into another unless both are at 50% full it might not be automatic... Take a look at this JetBLue JFK link: http://www.jetblue.com/about/jfk/

Thanks to both of you!!!! This helps a lot. The one and only time I had to make a connection was an absolute nightmare....it wasn't by choice either, my non-stop was cancelled for who knows why and they put me on a connecting flight that connected in Atlanta which is one huge airport!!!!

Click on Terminal 5:
http://www.panynj.gov/CommutingTrave...l/kennedy.html Note that on the way BACK, if you are also making a connex at JFK, The flight will come in to TERMINAL 4, and you will have to get to T5. You can take the airtrain but you may have to loop the whole airport first. (I don't think its walkable) See url below. You can also get info on the airtrain there. This is the page for entire JFK Airport: http://www.panynj.gov/CommutingTrave...l/kennedy.html It really is a GREAT terminal. and easy to get around. |
