I feel very badly for anyone traveling through the southeast tonight, tomorrow and into Tuesday. Hartsfield supposedly still has 2 runways open but we have seen TV cam photos of near white out conditions.

Yeah, I'll have to stay over night at an airport tomorrow. It'll be one fun trip for me! Hopefully the weather doesn't do any more damage and that flight doesn't get cancelled either. I just want to get there already

The forecast doesn't look very good at all. Freezing rain, snow pellets and mist; overcast down to 500' and winds gusting to 30 knots at various times over the course of the day.

Air Tran canceled every flight out of ATL today.

The interstates are snow covered.
I do not even know how people would get to the airport in this area.

Local news has a reporter at Hartsfield.
4 of 5 runways are now plowed but snow covered.
There have been a few planes which have landed and they just showed what they claim the first Delta flight of the day taking off.

So Sorry! The same thing happened to us last year. We lost several days in Aruba due to snow along the east coast. That's the problem we all run into, trying to get there this time of year. But it is SO worth it! Enjoy your time when you arrive. You will really appreciate the nice, warm weather after all of this.

Yeah so my flight was cancelled again. I guess I won't be getting there till Wednesday!! Hopefully the weather cooperates!
