There is no departure tax at the airport. There is a government tax that everyone has to pay at the hotel when you leave. Its per room and its like $5 to $10 per night depends on how large of a room and where you stay. We use to pay a departure tax at the airport but not anymore. Kent

yrs ago the charter flights did not have the tax added in to the airline portion of the ticket.
in those years some of us that flew charter had to pay a tax upon departure.

now, most if not all, the airlines add in the taxes on the price of a ticket.

i do not know if there are still some airlines that fly in and out of aruba that require tax/fess to be paid at the ticket counter. the major flights to and from the USA all include the taxes when you buy your ticket.

there is a timeshare and energy tax payable directly to the resort if you stay at a timeshare resort. it is not cheap. it is based on the sq ft of the unit and or the number of bedrooms/baths.

i do not know how they base the tax/fee for hotel rooms.

You did not say which airline. Some Local airlines do not include the tax. For instance.... Flying between Aruba and Bonair or Curacao you have to pay yourself.

Correct, but the rest was not accurate regarding the departure tax. The airport departure tax is included in the ticket/fees charged by all of the US-based airlines that fly to Aruba. As mentioned above, with other airlines you may be required to pay it yourself at the ticket counter.

I think it would be best for you to check with your travel agent or airline.

And the price per person is? And that is each way, correct?
