Experience with AA Bos/Aruba

Does anyone have any travel experience with American Airline Flights from Boston to Aruba. We have a connection in JFK Outbound and a connection in Miami InBound.

Also, our flight leaves at 6 a.m. on a Friday. Do we need to be at Logan 3 hours in advance? It is a American Eagle flight to JFK. Wasn't sure if that terminal gets busy with business travel.

Any advice would be helpful.

yes the terminal is busy
BUT
you get to check in at the american eagle counter to the right of the BIG line/mess american counter.

if you are on the 6 am flight to jfk you are on an embrarer jet and connect to a 757 at jfk with almost a 2 hr layover.

the ticket counter does not open til 4:45 am
tsa security opens at about the same time.
getting to logan at 3 am is pointless.
2 hrs is more than sufficient

we are on the same flight to aruba the following week and we won't get to logan til 4:30.

enjoy
