Flight change question
I booked our trip to Aruba from Indianapolis a while ago, but Delta recently made changes to our flight times. They only adjusted the flight times by mere minutes, but when I logged in last night there was a message that stated due to changes in flight times I may be in danger of missing a connection flight. But the connection flight they say I might be missing have not changed nor has the time between this connection flight. And there is an hour and 10 mins between connections. Has anyone else encountered this problem???
I just don't understand why I am getting this message if the time between connection flights hasn't changed? If I am in danger of missing my connection, why did Delta book the connection like that in the first place. sigh... |

sometimes confusing, always a pain in the rear end.
call delta. have your confirmation ready and the adjusted times right there in front of you. make sure that you have a minimum of 1 hr between flights. (personally, i like to have even MORE time between flights especially when dealing with a connection in atlanta) |

Delta has changed my returning flight twice including one that had me missing my connecting flight by 4 hours. I called and changed it and then 1 hour later I received another notice that Delta changed it again. This time I have a 55 minute layover in Atlanta versus 2 1/2 hours. After reviewing my itinerary today I noticed that my flight number out of Boston is non-existent. I'll be on the phone again soon.

Might just be a standard message sent anytime there is a change in time. I would just call Delta to confirm. As long as you have at least an hour between flights, you shouldn't be in any danger of missing the connection. I seem to remember getting a similar message years ago when taking a connecting flight.

I have been able to make connections with less than 45 minutes w/o a problem - but it does depend on what airport you are connecting at.

Yeah, I thought the same things, but I wanted to see if anyone else had this experience. I emailed my travel agent, but I haven't heard from her yet. So if I don't hear soon, I will call delta myself. I just don't understand why I'm getting this message when the time between connections hasn't changed. I guess I'm scared that I am going to get screwed in case I did miss my flight due to delayed flight and then Delta would come back and say "we told you so, now it is your financial responsiblity". Thanks for everyone's advice
