Flight date change due to The Aruban situation

We have been caught up in The Aruban closure situation. We are most likely going to need to move our original flight dates from the Jan. 9 - Jan 16 timelime. Can anyone offer any advice on dealing with the airline with this situation. We are hoping to have the airline flight reschedule fee waived due to this untenable situation. The airline is US Air. We are trying to mitigate the losses that we have already incurred. Thanks for any guidence offerred!

Having dealt with AA on a re-schedule issue recently, you need to be persistent and lucky enough to get the right person (good luck). It took me three hours, and I had a medical reason; still, little sympathy.

Ultimately, I "googled" "having problems with AA" and got some unpublished names and numbers. You might try the same.

Aruban closure situation

What that all about. We are coming January 13th. Is this something we should know about?

if you an an owner or a renter or have reservations at the Aruban Resort and Casino at Eagle Beach, the resort has been closed.

The Aruban Resort has closed. Hopefully, you are not staying there on your upcoming trip.

We are staying at the Occidental Grand Hotel. Really looking forward to our first trip to Aruba.

I'm flying Continental Dec. 30th. I only called tonight to change my return flight to a different date. I got the $150. change fee waived. Hooray. My friend flying American on Dec. 31 also got the fee waived.
