American does indeed cancel some of their nonstop flights to Aruba during the spring and summer months.

You can check Jet Blue's flights on their website: http://www.jetblue.com/

It's hard for anyone to really give you a specific price on how much the flights are because it often depends on what day of the week you are flying out and returning on.

Oh man! I hope that doesn't happen to me at the end of October. Anyone know if there is a way I can check to see if they'll cancel it? I see that flight is 100% full.

I may be wrong, but I'm almost positive you would have found out by now. You can always jump online to see your reservation and see if anything has changed. Or, call them directly. In the past, they have kept the direct flights in the fall and throughout the winter. Good luck!

I don't think you have to worry about a cancelled flight for fall but I would check every now and then to make sure American hasn't changed your flight times
we fly out in November and several times they have changed our times so far this year nothing has changed but there is still 5 wks before we leave so you never know...

Make sure you check every week or so, sometimes American forgets to call or email with changes. WE had to find ou the hard way. They even put us on an overnite connecting flight once. Isn't it nice they took it upon themselves to make that change without a call...............

I have flown JetBlue on other occasions and can honestly say I don't think I can fly any other airlines now.....it was fabulous! We were able to get direct flights from Boston to Aruba and vice versa for our trip in November - I will let you know about the flights when I return.
As far as the cost - I can't remember off the top of my head, but $300/ea. keeps popping up in my head.

American does not fly nonstop to Aruba from May - September.

Don't get me wrong - the SELL the flights, but always change them.

I fly US Airways nonstop from Boston every year (I just booked for July).

You want flights 1685 and 1686.

Last year the price dropped after I booked and I called and they gave me a voucher that was good for 12 months for the difference.

Since AA switched on you, you can cancel without penalty.

I have a flight over April school vacation week, do you think they will keep the nonstop flight?

We checked flights for our Jan 2008 trip and for the small difference in price; we booked a direct flight from Boston to Aruba, 41/2 hr flight. Out of Boston @ 7:00 am into Aruba by 1:00 pm.
Then checking our return flight, we found if we fly back on Monday instead of Sunday, the ticket is half the price, therefore we get to stay an extra night! Plus the flight out of Aruba is 2:00 pm and into Boston around 5:00 pm, hopefully home by 6:00 pm.
