We have been playing the airline russian roulette the past two weeks. Finally pulled the trigger today on our Oct 15-29th trip.
EWR-AUA direct - $380 each (United/Continental)
Not to bad! BWI is coming in at $433, but not direct.

You are so lucky!! I have been tracking flights for a few months now. EWR direct on United has been in the $700 to $800 range (for a december flight) for almost 2 months and hasn't budged at all. That does not include the baggage fee of $25 each way. I hate playing this game with the airlines.......
I use Yapta to track. It is a great tool. Tues and Wed tend to be the sale days.

Also we avoid bag fees by having a credit card with United and Delta. Plus you usually get a $50 discount off first ticket. Aruba cheaper equals Aruba more frequent!

Went down another $20 each ticket before 24 hour window closed, so now $360 round trip direct out of Newark. WooHoo!

Wow - I looked - I have NEVER seen fares that low for EWR - AUA. An October/November trip is $218 RT + $95.40 in taxes for a total of $313.40. That is giving away flights!

wow...that's a great deal....
I live near Pittsburgh and try to stay loyal to USAir, and usually flights out of there are actually cheaper on USAir....
I watched flights go up and down and seem to settle on the 550 price, so I broke down and bought them...
Looked at prices the other day for a friend that will fly out of Philly and saw Airtran had a decent deal of 489....maybe I should tell her and see if she would be willing to fly out of Newark ???
