Newark Airport is about 20 minutes from our home and fly Continental even though the airfare out of JFK such as American or JetBue is highly discounted. We also found that when we have flown out of JFK, the cost of car service round trip to JFK from our home in NJ cost us over $200 additional besides the cost of discounted airfare. Plus the fact that we had to get up in the middle of night to be picked up by car service to go to JFK. In the long run it is far easier to get up a little later and still get to Newark 2 1/2 hours before departure to go through security when the lines are shorter and have a relaxing breakfast with plenty of time before boarding.

Newark Airport

We flew to Aruba 6 times last year, May, July, August, September, October, November. Our flights were all out of Newark. The year before, we flew on JetBlue twice out of JFK. As much as we enjoyed the flight, we had to add on the round trip car service of over $200 added to the discounted airfare. For what we paid, we should have flown on Continental out of Newark and saved some $$. The weather was beautiful each time we went :-). Been visiting Aruba several times a year for 29 years. We own two weeks timeshare in May and November and try to stay at a resort close to our timeshare so we can use our timeshare beach since we are members.

Roundtrip from Newark - $328.00

I justed booked a round trip flight leaving from Newark on Continental Airlines for $328.00 per person plus tax and fees. The total cost for my wife and I is $830.80. We are leaving Newark on Feb 29, 2008. I booked the flight from Continental's website.

I found that timing is everything since the fares are constantly changing.

Regards,
David

Great price!

My boyfriend got our tickets out of Newark for 297 each! With taxes and fees it came out to be 817. He went through cheapair.com which I thought was a little risky as they are non-refundable tickets, but still, it's a direct flight and in our budget!

Can't wait for fun in the sun!
