the prices are high

i hate to see anyone spending $1200+ per couple

Welcome to our world in Western Canada (to Aruba) although that $1200 is per person. I still agree though airfares are veering towards outrageos lately.

I hear you, I booked our trip for October the day Jet Blue had Oct. available and the next day checked it again and each ticket went up about $200.00 in one day. It's crazy, glad I booked when I did.

It's hard to know what to do with all of the large airfare hikes. Buy now to hedge your bets or wait and hope for a better deal to come along? I hope you're able to find a better price, Andrea. It's helpful that your son/d-i-l have a few airport options available.

We've all gotten spoiled the past 5 years; me included. Our 1st 5 trips came in at a low of $600pp and a high of $820 pp. The past six years haven't paid more than $550 pp and as low as the high $300's pp. The airline have rediscover the OPEC rule of limited supply.

Came up with $1282 out of PWM. American has some cheap flights if the dates are flexible.

becca begins teaching on aug 22 (teacher orientation and classroom prep week)
