Help with Air Fare from Philly

Please help. Had to change our trip to Thanksgiving Week... Ouch!! Airfare is crazy this week going the 18th-27th. If anyone sees anything I live in Philly and will go from NY to DC with no problems. Thanks for your help.

sign up for:

airfarewatchdog.com
kayak.com

there are also some other airfare watch/notification places out there on the web too.

for thanksgiving week, i am going out on a limb and saying the air prices are probably not going to drop much.

the busiest travel time of the year and most profitable i am sure for the airlines.

i am guessing you will not find much under $600pp ?
try a google search

Yapta.com is also a good fare tracking & notification site. They just saved me $100 on an AA flight out of DC in Oct.

I agree though that major Thanksgiving travel price drops are not likely, but it can't hurt to track it. :-)

Good luck!

If you can get a cheap fare on those dates, you should be able to make some spare cash turning water into wine while you're down there.

Thnaks for all of your feedback. I used Kayak and found some odd ball airline called Avicanna Air?? $497 includes taxes, the only problem is a connection in Columbia. Anybody ever use them? With four in our family I will be able to save about $800 and it might be worth it unless someone has poor reviews.

Thanks again,

I hate to bring back this sorry subject but we need to start booking 2012. We managed to secure a flight for Thanksgiving this year, however we have more connections than a puzzle. Is airfare normally that expensive over Thanksgiving or did we wait to long to book. The week before Thanklsgiving is when we normally go, and the Air from Philly is around $450. Any feedback would be great.
