How early for a 3pm flight on a Tueday?

Okay all you veteran Aruba travelers....I would lilke to know how far ahead you would show up at the airplort for a 3pm flight on a Tuesday in August. When we were there in February we showed up 3 hours ahead for an early morning flight and we literally walked right through everything. Then we had a very long wait in the terminal. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!!

PS: I read other posts about morning flights and afternoon flights on the weekends but didnt see a post about afternoon weekday flights. THANKS!!!

Alot of this depends on where you are flying from and out of? What city? I would always rather allow more time then less. I cannot stand the stress of missing a plane. We usually show up 2 hours ahead of time. Better to be early then late. There is a time limit to when you can check luggage. Best to check with your airlines but I would do no less than 2 hours.

I will be flying Airtran and headed to Atlanta and then Rochester,NY. I am flying out of the main Airport in Aruba...is there another one there? I will probably plan on at least 3 hors just in case te taxi doesn't arrive on time. I have missed a flight before and it wasn't fun. I am just luck one of those reality shows wasn't filming!!! LOL

Departing Aruba, staying along Palm beach or Eagle beach if you leave your resort at Noon, presumably checkout time anyway, you will have enough time to get to the airport and go through checking in etc.

a tuesday afternoon.......i would give it 2 - 3 hrs. the airport is no where near as busy mon-thurs afternoons as it is on fri, sat, sun afternoons...sat and sunday needing the full 3 hrs for afternoon flights.

3 hrs will give you excess time hanging out at the gate, food court or slot parlors

Have always left the Radisson 3 hours before departure and never a problem.

a cool memento to pick up at the airport are these new bottles of water they sell up at that cafe place at departures. The bottles look like FIJI bottled water but say Aruba with a beach scene. We have like 10 bottles stacked up in our frig and just refill...

We let Bully tell us what time we need to be at the airport You are in good hands with him. He is the airport expert so just go with his advice.

Arubalisa calls the gate area 'the crying room'..... I agree!
