How early do you arrive at the airport?

I will be leaving Toronto, from Pearson International Airport, to Atlanta and then to Aruba. My depature time is 6:30 a.m. how early should I arrive at the airport? The site says to arrive at least 45 minutes before, is this enough time? I am travelling through delta airlines.

Well, if I were you I would be there by 4:45 at the latest....though, I can't speak from experience because I don't live in toronto. going thru security, check in, etc isn't a quick thing here in boston.

And leaving Aruba make sure to give yourself at least 3 hours left yesterday giving myself 2 3/4 and just made boarding
