    I booked my ride for 3:30 so I should arrive by 4:20. My flight leaves at 7:25 or so....

    I would have done the same: better early, no stress, being relaxed and on the safe side to catch the flight.

    I don't often get stressed out but I could freak out and lose my cool if I missed my flight standing in line, lol. I agree, better safe than sorry. I always see people rushing/missing their flights....advance planning is not a strength of some.

    And there could be the unknown, unforeseen. A few days ago, Aruba airport controlled passengers much more. And all of a sudden, there were long lines.

    this photo is in ARRIVALS at aruba airport.
    it is the area just beyond the luggage carousels and right before the aruba customs area.
    they were scanning luggage of arriving passengers.

    We leave home at 3.45 Taxi to Bristol airport Arrive 4.30 am flight to Amsterdam 6.30am Arrive Amsterdam 8.30am ( forward 1 hour time difference ) 3 hours. Transfer time Then 9 / 10 hours flight to Aruba ..Land Aruba time 4.30pm but to us it's 9.30..
    But being disabled the staff at all the airports get us though on time ...

    That's a helluva travel day.... and it speaks of how much you love Aruba.

    I like to arrive at the airport 2.5-3 hours before the flight. The last thing on earth I was to do is feel rushed and worry about missing my flight. I'd much prefer to have extra time for potty runs and breakfast at the airport.
