We booked our trip almost 1 year ago, and we leave August 7 for 7 days.
We only ended up paying $350 round trip for each ticket, I thought that was pretty inexpensive compared to the prices now. What did everyone else pay?

that's unbelivably cheap. we're going 8/25 via jet blue and paid 550 - bought it 2 months in advance.
going again in thanksgiving with entire extended family and paid 1100 roundtrip via jetblue - bought 6 months in advance. the original flight via AA cost 750 but was cancelled by AA. |

I fly out of Pittsburgh and go during November and prices are always about 500 dollars....but during summer months you can get tickets for about 300...so I guess those tickets were reasonable depending on where you fly out of,,,,If you see tickets less than those basic prices for your time frame, then I would snatch them up....

Non-stop from Atlanta
Christmas/New Year's last year $1280, fare went down to $1150 (full fare tickets so was able to collect the difference) This June, tickets purchased last August, $440 Looks like for next June, tickets will be about $560 - $580 Fares used to average $625 from ATL, so still not so bad. From areas such as EWR/JFK, where there is a lot of competition, there are usually better fares (supply and demand). My brother's tickets for same dates last Christmas/New Year's were $780 NON-STOP from Newark, vs. what we paid from ATL. |
