Andrea,

I love how you converted that into something that we can all understand when you are on vacation. $150 = 22 BOGO frozen drinks! (44). ;-)

The dreaded tax

Yes Andrea there are taxes but the whole deal comes in below 500$CDN. Something wrong when the taxes are more than the airfare. Never understood how these taxes are calculated. If I buy a more expensive ticket they are lower in some cases.

Smile Canadian Airfare

Yeah,

I was talking to an Ontario couple about this very subject while waiting for my flight out of Aruba... and I agree flying both in and out of Candian airports is very expensive. But there is a little trick!!! Take the train!! Use Amtrak and Via Rail to get you down to either Seattle, Buffalo, or Burlington, VT..... Then you can fly to Aruba for next to nothing.... If you live in the Ontario area, the Buffalo Depew train station is right next to Buffalo International Airport. Its also nice, not to have to pay for parking at the airport, another plus.
