If you're traveling Air Canada better check your flight

Air Canada has changed their flight schedule AGAIN. They are no longer flying on Sundays but have gone back to Saturdays. Yup, I had booked our return portion on a Sunday and found out ACCIDENTALLY that the flight was canceled and I have been moved to the Saturday flight.

So for those who are booked on Air Canada flights on a Sunday you better check it out.

Yep. Air Canada did that to me on a Maui trip. I was in Maui and only found out about it when I tried to confirm the flight. There was no flight. They had cancelled it. They finally got me on a flight back 1st class on another day

I got an email refunding my seat selection. I had no idea for what flight as we are traveling in the fall this year so off I go to call Air Canada. Wait on hold for 30 minutes until I get a "live" person only to be disconnected at the 49 minute mark. Start again, 30 minutes on hold... no one could initially tell me where this seat selection refund came from because no ticket or file number on the refund. After another 30 minutes someone finally figured out that my Sunday flight has now been moved to Saturday. Last year same issue but in reverse but this was discovered just a few months after booking.
First agent said an email was sent (not true) but second agent assured me that I would have been notified in September!!!!! I guess Air Canada doesn't care that I had just made arrangements for the extra few days in Aruba??? I guess Air Canada doesn't understand that if you move a flight ahead a day that doesn't always mean you can find accommodations during the busy Christmas season (last years issue)!!!

I'd go ballistic..... all the planning and they just can't get customer service understood......

Air Canada is the absolute worst and they have a a captive audience (Canadians). I'm reading the "refund" policy and it says that they only issue flight credit that you have to use within a year not actual refunds. This is madness and more reason to book any other option.

I'm listening to their irritating hold propaganda - "We were voted the best..." I obviously missed that polling station.

Thirty minute hold time... they obviously weren't voted the best at staffing.

You are so right about Air Canada. I just got a voucher with a 15% discount to use within a year of today's date. There call in centre is so much worse than it used to be. No longer do they have a dedicated line for web technical issues. Westjet is such a more pleasant customer service experience, hope it stays this way. Air Canada could take a few pointers from Westjet.

I was able to get it refunded to my credit card. We then re-booked with WestJet, saved $700 over the AC price and now fly out on Tuesday (i.e. two extra days in Aruba).

This morning WestJet just announced dozens of new flights to 2016-2017 winter destinations. Haven't seen all the details yet, but in the announcement they do say Aruba is one of the destinations they are increasing flights to
