Insel Air or DAE?

Has anyone had any experience with flying Insel Air or DAE to Curacao? I was also wondering if they are usually on time?

I booked with DAE a couple of times, but have never flown with them, because they canceled their flights and transfered me to Insel Air. From what I have seen DAE is often delayed or canceled..

Insel Air is punctual.
The aircraft is really small and definitely not comfortable, but at least it will take you to and from Curacao on time!

What is the cost to fly to Curacao? Can you do a day trip?

The tickets are normally around USD 150 pp/return..

If you prefer to travel with Insel Air, go to: www.fly-inselair.com for information and booking.

It is possible to go for a daytrip; flighttime is appr. 15 min, taxiride downtown Willemstad takes less than a half hour, costs around USD 30.

I flew DAE RT Curacao in May. Since they are small planes you are bussed from the terminal to the plane. This means you MUST be on time as they take one bus and that's it. We were taxiing down the runway at exactly takeoff time. Coming back you walk to the plane with an escort and then bussed from the plane to the terminal in Aruba. There is a departure tax leaving Curacao - I forget how much.
