i think you hit it on the head. barbados, which is farther or equidistant from the states, is much cheaper. it's most likely b/c they are still underdeveloped.

I'd bet 95% of all vacation travel is on the weekends, not just for timeshares. It coincides with the normal workweek.

As a result, it's also the busiest time for the airlines. Lower prices for weekday travel is their incentive for you to travel on weekdays, allowing them to utilize their capacity more effectively.

Aruba is super popular so gets the higher priced flights. Supply and demand is in play here.

That is true, it's always PACKED on sat/sun departures to AUA...no wonder CO/UA have double departures to AUA on weekends from EWR.

Since the Surf Club started letting us check-in during the week, we have been booking Monday to Monday. Check-in at the Surf Club only took a few minutes and rooms are actually ready on time. Airfare seems a bit better and the airport looks completely different on a Monday. There are virtually no lines at any point of the check in including security and customs. I know Mondays don't work for everyone, but if you can swing it, it's a great way to start and end the week-although the ending part is never a happy day.

Headed back this year on Monday, July 11th and my ticker is almost under 4 months!

We are doing Monday to Monday this year for the first time at the Ocean Club, but will go on Sunday and stay one night at the hotel, using our points. Can;'t wait to get there.

Hi,

Jet Blue just extended their schedule on Monday and we booked our flight for September leaving on a Saturday an coming back on a Monday (9nights) leaving out of Boston. They are both direct flights @ $437 round trip. What a deal!!!!

I booked JetBlue on Monday for Oct. 15 from Boston (only one way because I'm coming home on Oct 30 and it's not out yet). I paid $299. Much higher than I wanted but today it jumped to $349! Glad I grabbed it when I did. I usually pay what Tebor pays, around $437 r/t. Prices really have sky rocketed this year!
