We booked the Divi on Cyber Monday so our dates are set. I emailed JB and asked why and they gave me the story of how they have so many seats at a certain low rate and then once that's gone blah blah. The plan is a 3/4 full plane already - supposedly - are they playing another game. The day before and after are wide open??

I purposely did the day after Columbus Day as I figured flying on the holiday would be more - nope! I even checked the Aruba events calendar to see if something was going on that day - nope. So now I'm doing the wait and see. JB comes out with the extended schedule on 6/4 so I'm waiting until that date to see if my date goes down. If not, I'm thinking of changing my dates....ugggg - hate this game we have to play in Boston to get a direct flight - but do love JB otherwise.
That does sound high, maybe a wait and watch policy might help. Jetblue price matches any other online sites prices, we saved many hundreds by calling. Our June 7 night Hotel+NS Flight from Boston for two was 2200 for reference.

We pretty much only fly Jet Blue but have to admit prices have been crazy! When flights first opened they were higher than I wanted to pay so I decided to wait. Since I've only booked part of our vacation, there is flexibility with our dates. So the plan is to start looking in June, hope for a sale and then book the hotel for our extra dates.

Plus or Minus. We have booked for 18 years the first day the flights came out from Boston direct to Aruba.Extra legroom and the aisle seats.Sometime we stayed in the rental units in back of Lings.Booking in is Friday at Costa Linda so we came down on a few times on Thursday.Keep in mind There is no Luggage rack on the Hurst. Also booking early gets you the seats you want not the leftovers.Paul

I booked our Xmas trip the day the flights went on sale. I just looked now and the flight down is equal to what I paid for the round trip! If I had waited it would have cost me almost $2000 more the same 3 tickets! I am thankful I did not wait. Whenever I can handle the flight cost I book it...Xmas was about $1000 round trip when I purchased it and now its almost $1700- wow!!!!!

Today, same flights, $1,289.06 each. Includes all taxes and fees, one checked bag each way each, non-stop from Boston. We got our two seats for 88,000 JB points, 44,000 points each a few minutes after the seats became available.

Keep checking though for the mint. Last year I noticed that Mint for November was $1,400 each way. On 2 occasion one way mint was available for $450. I hesitated 2 times and within 1 hour they jumped back to $1,400 and of course someone had booked them. On the third try, I booked the return at $450 mint and the price jumped back up to $1400 right away. So I ended up paying $1000 round trip for November but it was extra leg room going and mint returning and it included trip insurance as well so it was a great deal especially for November thanks giving week. Too bad i couldn't get both leg of Mint but I think I enjoyed it more returning home mint for a perfect ending to a great vacation.

I have been booking one way tickets on JB when I find a low fare and wait it out for the other half. It's saved me a few hundred dollars over the last couple years. Not always an option when yo have a set week, but when you add a few days to your stay, it can work in your favor.

just booked for sis-in-law, great-niece and her friend for november on jet blue.....just under 1500 for all 3, out of pittsburgh pa...very nice considering american now has set the price for a round trip in the 7-800 range. completely ridiculous !!!
On the upside of that ....I had enough miles to book round trip on american for just myself in first class !!!! Pour Dh doesn't want to come for full 2 weeks this year so I have to watch for tickets for him separately....he will enjoy coach I am sure !!!!!!
