jet blue charges higher prices for this aruba route because they "can".

i would live to be able to fly JB with their comfort.
but my purse strings tell me to be frugal.

there are folks that pay the price on JB with not a second thought.....i am not one of those folks.
JB does definately have better creature comforts and good schedules.

Agree Andrea! So, after waiting the whole summer for JetBlue seats to come out, bought the rest of our tickets through Continental! Oh well. Saved a ton of money, so it's alright

Given the weakening of the dollar, most airlines are expecting the price of oil to be higher by next summer. My prediction is $100-$110 a barrel by memorial day.

I saw this forum and wanted to vent.

I'm getting married in Aruba in May. We waited all summer for Jet Blue to release their flights for May. Once they did release their flights not only were they expensive, but the week of my wedding there are actually no flights from Boston to Aruba on Tuesday or Wednesday and the return flight on Sunday only had 5 seats available on it (now how that happened is amusing). Anyway...I called Jet Blue and their explanation was that the week is not a busy week so they have no flights...ok that makes sense, but having no alternative, not even with a connection I thought was a little crazy.

Needless to say AA and US Airways received the business for all my wedding guests.

We found the cheapest way to get there was indirect from Boston---Delta heading down and JetBlue coming home. We're going for Memorial Day weekend--the 29th to June 2nd.
