    Jet Blue "Mint"

    Any takers?

I think it would be great for a much longer flight..trans continental or trans atlantic or pacific.

It'd be great but with all the effort we put into finding a low airfare, I can't imagine it's all that popular.

I just took a quick look at a December prices and the cheapest one way was $291. Mint one way was $634-$1,324! The twice to four times the price each way.

My opinion is this isn't going to work. Aruba airfare is among the highest in the Caribbean to begin with.
I really l.ove to fly Jet Blue. But for the first time, this year my wife and I were forced to choose a different airline for our trip in April. Jet blue was just about double then what we paid for U.S Air. This new mint program seems way out of the normal persons price range.

Beds on planes, suites, flat-screen t.v.s, tapas service; really???? I'm not buying until they offer complimentary mani/pedi.

No, just kidding; I won't be using JB Mint, even if I could afford it. It's not my style to be extravagant, and to me this is extravagance. I don't even purchase business class or first class (not that I can), let alone mint class.

Using the info AndyM found, the least it would be for a family of 4 just to get there and back is +$4800. Who can afford that these days? I think the only upgrade I would pay for if I were wealthy is a way to get to Aruba from Ohio in less than an hour.

Nah...... I draw the line at doing 'Even More Space' seats...! However if I couldn't take my private jet.... I'd opt for Mint....!!!

One of the reasons I opted for SW early check in is to hopefully board early enough to get exit row seats! We're both tall and our son is 6'4", so I too have paid for "more space seats" on other flights. DS said it was the best thing ever!

I can see using that kind of thing for flights to Germany, London.....but for a 4-5 hour flight (at best) I think its overkill.
But I would love to see how many people are online at this very minute trying to get those "mint" seats !!!!!
