I have been tracking flights for December for a while, comparing Newark vs JFK as well as comparing the flight times. Jet Blue put out more flights today and I was finally able to get the 6:55am flight out of JFK which arrives in Aruba at 12:20!!! Patience paid off!! I was even the first one to choose a seat My flight home leaves at 4:30pm so my travel days aren't completely spent traveling. Paid $450 including the taxes which is about $30 more than last year but the flight times make it so worth it and Jet Blue has proven to be a great airline to travel with.

I initially booked with FF Miles on US Air out of Newark. Well US Air canceled all flights to Aruba on Wednesday's so I called my timeshare (we have check in any day of the week) & they were able to accommodate a Tuesday departure. I changed my check in date & then redeposited my FF Miles & booked with Continental because the flight times were so much better & the airfare was only $401pp.

We booked with United out of Newark for $417. Now it's half what we would have paid on Jet Blue! Are you arriving on Sat or Sun? DH and I are looking forward to meeting the 4 of you!

    Continental Newark to Aruba

On 7/22/2011 I booked Saturday, October 15, 2011 returning Sunday, October 23, 2011 on Continental Non-Stop for $450 total - taxes and $27 for insurance inclusive. The prior day, the flight alone was over $700+.

This is my 18th trip to Aruba and anything under $500 is reasonable.

I just booked a flight out of JFK for December 8. I was originally going to book Continental, since I live in Point Pleasant, and travel to Newark is easier. The flight started out at $456 and 2 days later went up to $912/per person! I couldn't believe it. Jet Blue was $400/person before taxes so I booked that one. What day are you leaving?
