not surprising given tickets for november for the past 10+ years on USAir have been 480-520 and now have jumped to 750 since merger with AA and AA's prices for same time were about 750....coincidence ???? I think not !!!!

I noticed the change in prices as soon as United took over Continental. Continental was reasonable and you could always get a deal. United has dropped services and amenities and jacked up their prices. And they don't care because in NJ, they are pretty much the only game in town unless you want stop overs, which I don't.
That's great! Schumer makes a great point with fuel prices decreasing!
I read an article once that said fuel prices going down didn't immediately impact airfares since they buy so much in advance, but now that the pricesfor fuel have stayed relatively low for a while, I am not buying that story anymore.
