Meeting someone at the airport
Greetings,
I am leaving for my trip to Aruba tomorrow morning, YAY!, at 6am, um...not so yay! ![]() I am meeting someone in Aruba that is coming in on a non-USA flight and I am wondering where the best place is to plan and meet at the airport. Our flights are scheduled to arrive at nearly the same time. In looking at maps of the airport I cannot decide if it is better to meet upstairs in the gate area or downstairs at the baggage claim area. It looks like there is only one baggage claim area for the airport, unless I am missing something. Thanks in advance for the advice. Regards, Patrick |

hmmmm Hopefully someone else has a better answer for you. As far as i know there are 2 terminals at he airport. A big one and a little one. The big one is for US flights only. Not sure where to tell you to meet up.
I'm sure that someone will be able help!> |

The airport's not that big, and as someone already mentioned, if you stand by the exit door, yes, the only one... you're sure to encounter who you need to meet. And you'll probably encounter some other very interesting characters while you're there as well.
Have an amazing time, were it not so hot and muggy and sticky and such here in Toronto (complete with the odd tornado or two...), I'd wish I were there with you. Oh, okay, I still wish I were there....

The parking in Toronto?....oh, okay... lots of varying prices.
As for the parking in Oranjestad, best ask Cerry or Bully. But then again, I doubt they get much chance to park anywhere, anytime.

>>> " I think we'll try to meet there rather than outside."
---- Actually can't meet in the baggage area as incoming passengers are still subject to a search of their bags by Uniform Custom Agents standing by the exit door. I guess if the other persons plane is getting there the same time you could wait there and not get your bags until they arrive. Of course the Uniform Custom Agents may wonder why you are just standing there. Once you go out the exit door don't think you can get back into the luggage area. Most people(I have done it) wait in a waiting area just by that exit door. That waiting area is not actually outside. Last edited by TomFrederick; 08-24-2009 at 01:08 PM. |
