folks have to bring in their ticket to the airport (the area outside of arrival), submit their parking ticket stub that was recieved upon going in, and pay for it there inside the arrival hall area.

then, there is about a 15 window of opprotunity to get your car out ............submit the "paid in full" receipt in the little thing by the gate and drive away.

this parking pay thing has been effect now for about 2 yrs.

rob, do u and cindy rent a car while in aruba?

when paul and i pick up someone at the airport, typically we watch the flight arrival on the computer at the resort. when it arrives, we head over to the airport and paul gets out and goes to the area outside of the arrival hall/luggage area and i drive around in circles to avoid parking/paying.

most times, i only have to do 2 or 3 laps.

Yep, we use Thrifty right in the lobby at Renn. It just works for us...

Isn't there a snack bar before the exit door but outside of Aruba customs? Would that be a good spot to meet up?

yup there is a snack bar and i think there is liquor and ice cream in that location as well as regular snack foods.

go out side of the arrival hall and go towards the left after customs past the setar kiosk.

i still think a casino at the airport would be cool for those of us that like to throw away our money and be entertained and kill time.
