Need some advise from my seasoned travelers

I am torn!!!

Jet Blue out of JFK in July 2010 is $556 pp r/t
Continental and Delta out of JFK are both $436 pp r/t

Do you think that the rates will come down with Jet Blue? I know that they will refund if the price goes lower without rebooking charges.

Should I wait and see if the airfare goes down?

Anyone know what the history of JetBlue tickets are. Its a gamble for me to either wait or buy now...

Anthony

If CO is non-stop out of EWR I would go with it.

Still a tough question. After a long day of travel, I think I would rather be close to home (EWR) vs. JFK, but that is just me.

You like Jet Blue because of the seat back entertainment for the girls? If it is a huge factor I would just got with that or hold out for a sale.

Yes, Jet blue is really that much more roomy. Forget just the room, they don't charge for 1st bag, and unlimited free snacks on the plane, and D&D coffee .

I am just shocked what the price difference is from last year. I paid about $350 rt and this year is $550 rt. Last year I also bought in March and not November. So I might just wait for a bit and see if the prices settle. I can't believe the price difference between Delta and JB.

For us the Travel time between Home and Newark and Home and JFK is only like 20 minutes, believe it or not. So the time is not that bad. We will be goin on off-peak driving times also, especially that it is a saturday-saturday trip.

I may just go with the JB, I just won't tell the DW. I am going to wait a bit, as the plane only has like 10 seats sold for my time frame.

I appreciate all the comments and advise!!!!!!

I just checked CO for my out of EWR.

2 Adults (age 18 to 64) $876.00 2 Child $876.00 Additional Taxes/Fees $354.80 Total Price $2,106.80
Is what they want. Plus $15 per bag, (3 bags) each way.

So in the end the $2200 for Jet Blue is fine for me, for a better flight!

Jetblue is great! Once you fly it you'll be hooked.
